Boozy Braaied Bananas
The director of Back to Africa, Hamish Currie, told us about this classic recipe with a naughty twist!
- 2 bananas
- 2 Cadbury Flakes
- 4 lugs of Kahlúa Liqueur
- Slice through the length of the bananas, being careful not to pierce the skin on the other side.
- Break up the Cadbury Flakes and stuff as much of the chocolate as you can into the bananas.
- Double wrap each banana individually in tin foil and place on hot coals or an oven preheated to 200ºC for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Unwrap the bananas and serve with Kahlúa Liqueur. You could also add chopped almonds to give a dreamy nutty crunch or berries as we have here.
